I wasn’t a fan of romance-centered novels before I read Bridgerton and now I have been converted. I feel like every reader who loved this will agree with me when I say that you just can’t help falling in love with the Bridgerton siblings.

Do not be fooled by the 3-star rating, I really like this book. It’s just that I watched the Netflix series so I spoiled myself and enjoyed the book less than I should’ve. There is nothing to feel but love as I once again spent a few hours with the Bridgerton household, this time focusing on the eldest’s love conquest.

We are now at the third installment of Bridgerton – a series that focuses on the Bridgerton siblings’ quest for marriage, ideally with love, set in the Regency era and I think I found my favorite book of them all.

Personal Rating:
⭐⭐⭐

The fourth installment of the Bridgerton series revolves around the third eldest Bridgerton sibling, Colin, and a close family friend, Penelope (Pen). Like the previous books, we’re still in the Regency area where every book is about a member of the Bridgerton sibling finding their love matches. This time, however, we’re not introduced to a new character to match with a Bridgerton sibling, the love has been there all along – specifically beside Colin’s sister, Eloise, Pen’s best friend.

Personal Rating:
⭐⭐⭐

We begin where the last book ended: Colin Bridgerton and Penelope, Eloise’s best friend, were about to make an announcement at a party. But Eloise would miss this announcement as she slips out of the party to meet a gentleman from outside the city proper with whom she has been corresponding for a year.

I would definitely read it again as a standalone. It’s just so well executed. All the complicated feelings and their resolution were executed flawlessly. I thought by book six in the series it would start going downhill as that’s how sequels usually go. I am more than delighted to be wrong.

Hyacinth, the youngest of eight Bridgeron siblings and the only remaining unwed daughter of Violet, does not settle. She’s proud to voice her opinions which drew her to the infamous scary elder of the ton, Lady Danbury. She’ll be constantly in the company of Lady Danbury and that would lead her to the part of Lady Danbury’s grandson, Gareth St. Clair.

Gregory has a very relatable problem. Most of us think that love looks like what he thought love was – it was supposed to be love at first sight where the world stops. It was supposed to make you feel giddy and speechless. But sometimes those reactions are just that – they’re physiological and emotional responses for something logical

This book contains the second epilogues of all the previous Bridgerton books so we get a glimpse of each Bridgerton pair’s married lives. There’s so much happiness to go around that you’ll regret not finishing your Bridgerton read with this book. But if you absolutely insist on not reading further, here’s what you’ll miss.
