Barbara’s day is Hell. One of those days that starts badly and only gets worse. It almost seems like the universe is out to get her.
What starts with a broken heel ends with something much worse. And it’s all because of a chance meeting with a homeless man.
Short Story by bestselling author, Iain Rob Wright.

🌟Review (2.5/5) 🌟
This is your typical plot where the snob, rich adult gets what’s coming to him/her. It’s not badly written, but it was unfortunately predictable so early in the story.
There was also an editing or writing mistake that took me out of the story. It was the next day after the ‘incident’ and Barbara sped past Margaret, her secretary. In the dialogue, she mentioned her own name instead of Margaret so I was genuinely confused about who said what. I already had a working theory that she was a ghost so if Margaret talked to her that was a break in my theory. I spent way more time reading that whole interaction than I had.
This wasn’t the short story for me but it could be for anyone who just wants a shot of karma done right in a quick read. If so, you can read this short story in the book called A-Z of Horror. You can check it out on Amazon. It’s free to read through Kindle Unlimited!
