I don’t consider myself easily spooked by insects in real life much less in works of fiction, but man this story gave me the creeps. The author gave a really vivid description of the old manor and that provided the perfect setting to intensify what everyday animals can do to humans given the proper horrifying motivation.
This book is really starting to grow on me. This might just be my favorite collection of stories! If you’re looking for a quick read to trigger some arachnophobia that you might not know you have, give this compelling story a try!
