Book Reviews : Spoiler-free or nah?

Really curious to hear everyone’s opinion.

When I check for book reviews, I find myself getting irritated for having generic reviews why they like it or not. They can’t reference a character arc or a specific event to avoid spoilers but generic reactions like “I really love it!” and “I hate it. This trope is so tired” doesn’t help me decide anything.

I tend to get really detailed with my reviews lately, I just try to put spoiler warnings ahead. Would having spoilers prevent you guys from reading a specific review?

  1. Spoiler free, definitely! If I’m reading a review, it’s usually before I read the book or when I’m about half-way through so I don’t need anyone spoiling the ending!
